Chiya Li is a certified sommelier, a wine educator, and the founder of Madame Sommelier. She believes that education is the key to the understanding and appreciation of any subject – wine is no exception.
 
Chiya has conducted wine appreciation and tasting seminars for:

• private functions
• corporate functions
• the University of Toronto's Faculty Club Wine Club
• the University of Toronto's Commerce Programs and Commerce Students' Association
• the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS)
  

Chiya is an active member of the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS). She is also the resident sommelier of the University of Toronto's Faculty Club.

To keep her knowledge current, she frequently visits the wine regions, and participating in wine trade-tastings/seminars in Toronto and abroad.
